Infrastructure and platform ownership

Join a two-person DevOps team responsible for cloud infrastructure, databases, deployment pipelines, reliability, security operations, and a growing AI platform. You will deliver projects from planning through implementation, lead incident response, contribute to architecture decisions, and collaborate with engineering, IT, security, and business teams.

The team emphasizes automation, infrastructure as code, clear documentation, blameless incident reviews, and sustainable on-call practices. Strong candidates at the DevOps Engineer II level are also encouraged to apply.

What you will own

  • Design, provision, secure, scale, and troubleshoot AWS and EKS/Kubernetes infrastructure using Terraform and Helm, including upgrades, capacity planning, and cost optimization.
  • Contribute architecture recommendations that improve security, scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Administer PostgreSQL, including upgrades, backups, restore testing, and performance tuning.
  • Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and production release processes.
  • Manage Datadog observability and alerting, participate in on-call coverage, respond to incidents, and lead post-incident reviews.
  • Maintain and test disaster recovery plans, backups, and failover procedures.
  • Manage access, rotate secrets, patch vulnerabilities, configure Cloudflare network and VPN services, maintain email and domain security, and support audits.
  • Deploy and secure MCP servers, LLM integrations, and agent frameworks. Build AI workflow automations and manage prompts, skills, and evaluations.
  • Enforce least-privilege access, track AI usage and spending, contribute to AI policies, and administer AI tools.
  • Maintain Ansible configurations for user access and servers, automating repeatable operational tasks.
  • Support internal systems, vendor integrations, and access provisioning while keeping runbooks and knowledge documentation current.

Experience you will need

  • 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering for the Senior level, or 3+ years for DevOps Engineer II.
  • Deep hands-on experience with AWS, Linux, and production Kubernetes. EKS experience is preferred.
  • Infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform and Helm, plus configuration management with Ansible.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong Python and/or Bash scripting skills and experience with Git-based workflows.
  • Monitoring and alerting experience with Datadog or comparable tools, including on-call responsibilities and incident response.
  • PostgreSQL administration experience covering upgrades, backups, restores, and tuning.
  • Practical security operations experience with IAM, access management, secrets, patching, and network configuration.
  • Clear communication with technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Ability to own projects end to end within a small team.

Additional strengths

  • Terragrunt experience.
  • Experience deploying or securing MCP servers, LLM APIs, agent frameworks, or prompt evaluation pipelines.
  • AI governance experience, including access controls, usage monitoring, cost tracking, or acceptable-use policies.
  • Cloudflare Zero Trust, VPN, and DNS experience, plus knowledge of SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and MTA-STS.
  • Experience supporting SOC 2 or ISO 27001 audits.
  • Disaster recovery testing and multi-region resilience experience.
  • Familiarity with Django or other Python web applications.
  • Experience supporting distributed teams across US and EU time zones.

First-year milestones

  • By three months: Complete onboarding, join the on-call rotation, handle cross-team requests, and review infrastructure changes.
  • By six months: Run incidents end to end, lead a disaster recovery or restore test, and own AI platform operations.
  • By twelve months: Independently deliver major reliability, security, or cost projects and help guide DevOps direction.

Benefits and rewards

  • Participation in an annual discretionary company bonus program and equity awards.
  • Employer-subsidized medical, dental, and vision coverage.
