Warehouse Worker

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Pay: $28.27 - $30/hour

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 5:00 PM until finish, with potential Friday work when needed

Role overview

You’ll support night warehouse operations by selecting customer orders, building pallets, operating warehouse equipment, and helping deliver accurate, damage-free orders in a fast-paced food distribution environment.

What you’ll do

• Safely and accurately select customer orders.
• Build and wrap pallets to meet productivity and accuracy standards.
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks.
• Safely operate an electric pallet jack.
• Move products from racks to pallets using order selecting software and equipment.
• Verify that selected products are correct and damage-free.
• Deliver products to the correct dock area efficiently.
• Shrink wrap palletized orders.
• Help clear aisles of debris and stack empty pallets.
• Return pallet jacks to the charging area.

What you’ll need

• Ability to read and communicate in English for training, safety instructions, labels, conversations, and reports.
• Ability to work 8+ hour night shifts.
• Availability for Sunday-Thursday schedule, with weekends and holidays required at times.
• Recent high-endurance or highly physical work experience preferred.
• Warehouse or distribution center order selection experience preferred.
• Motorized pallet jack or similar equipment experience preferred.

Physical requirements

• Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5°F to over 100°F.
• Ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, and pull 20 to 80+ pounds of product.
• Ability to move 1,000+ cases of product during each shift.
• Ability to perform fast-paced, physical warehouse work throughout the shift.
