Schedule: Standard warehouse shifts aligned with shipping and receiving schedules.
About the position
Support daily warehouse operations by tracking inventory, handling materials, and preparing finished goods for shipment. This position requires accurate recordkeeping and teamwork to fulfill orders on time in a busy warehouse environment.
Daily responsibilities
- Load finished products onto trucks and other transport vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Unload incoming raw materials and check quantities and condition against documentation.
- Use computers or RF handheld scanners to update stock levels and record inventory receipts, transfers, and shipments.
- Pack, label, and stage products according to shipping requirements.
- Move, stack, and organize materials to support efficient use of warehouse space.
- Check in deliveries and prepare outgoing orders.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks according to safety guidelines, including stand-up forklifts when permitted.
- Perform general warehouse labor and keep work areas clean and orderly.
- Coordinate with teammates to meet daily productivity goals and shipment deadlines.
Experience and qualifications
- Hands-on warehouse experience involving shipping, receiving, inventory tracking, stock control, and material handling.
- Ability to use computers or RF handheld scanners to maintain accurate inventory data.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems.
- Experience packing, labeling, and staging products for shipment.
- Ability to load and unload vehicles efficiently and handle materials safely.
- Experience operating forklifts, including stand-up forklifts when permitted.
- Ability to perform general warehouse labor and follow safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive shipping deadlines.
- Attention to detail, teamwork, and clear communication.
Physical requirements and work environment
- Regular standing, walking, lifting, loading, and unloading throughout the shift.
- Work in shipping and receiving areas, storage racks, and order staging zones.
- Use computers, RF handheld scanners, forklifts, and pallet jacks.
- Wear practical attire suitable for an industrial environment, safe equipment operation, and material handling.
