About the role
Create visual materials for a marketing team focused on cancer care. This hands-on position turns creative briefs and marketing strategies into clear, accessible designs for diverse audiences. You will independently manage defined projects within an established brand system, working closely with marketing, communications, and other teams.
Design responsibilities
- Design and produce marketing campaigns, digital assets, social content, presentations, and experiential materials.
- Translate briefs and strategic direction into finished designs, managing projects from concept through final production.
- Create assets for paid media, email, web, social, and other channels, balancing creativity, clarity, accessibility, and performance.
- Develop materials for company events, conferences, and executive presentations.
- Turn data, care experiences, and impact stories into visuals that make complex information easier to understand.
- Adapt concepts across digital, print, and physical formats while preserving the original idea.
- Maintain consistent typography, layout, imagery, and production quality across brand materials.
- Partner with senior creatives to extend the design system and address inconsistencies as new needs emerge.
Collaboration and project ownership
- Work with writers, marketers, and communications partners to align visuals and messaging.
- Support growth, enrollment, engagement, and product marketing initiatives.
- Participate in creative reviews, explain design decisions, and incorporate feedback.
- Manage multiple deadlines and communicate progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Improve templates, documentation, and workflows to support efficient, consistent production.
- Share knowledge and constructive feedback with the creative team.
- Seek guidance when projects involve greater complexity or ambiguity.
Experience and skills
- At least 4 years of professional design experience, ideally on a brand, marketing, or communications team.
- A portfolio demonstrating visual storytelling, typography, layout, and brand design across multiple channels.
- Experience creating web, social, email, and presentation materials, along with print or physical collateral.
- Strong working knowledge of brand systems and the ability to develop varied designs within established guidelines.
- Ability to independently manage clearly defined projects from concept through production.
- Experience collaborating with marketers, writers, and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency in interface design, creative production, office productivity, project management, and team communication tools.
- Strong organization, prioritization, communication, and design judgment.
- Ability to adapt to evolving briefs, changing priorities, and incomplete information.
- An empathetic approach to creating accessible, inclusive materials for people affected by cancer.
Experience in healthcare, digital health, or another mission-driven organization is a plus.
Compensation
The base salary range is $114,750 - $135,000. Individual pay depends on qualifications, experience, skills, and internal equity. The range may differ if the position is filled at another level.
The total compensation package also includes equity and benefits.
