Creative Designer

Remote (United States)

Role overview

The Brand Designer creates marketing and sales materials within an established visual identity, turning briefs into clear, carefully finished work across presentations, web pages, campaigns, and events. Working alongside lead designers and partners in marketing, product, and sales, the role uses Figma, Illustrator, After Effects, and InDesign to extend the brand into new formats while preserving its consistency.

Design Work and Collaboration

  • Create presentations, one-pagers, sales collateral, social and display assets, email, web pages, and event materials.
  • Use and improve brand guidelines and component libraries, expanding their application without replacing the established identity.
  • Clarify briefs early and move quickly from concept to finished design, paying close attention to typography, spacing, color, hierarchy, and final polish.
  • Begin with defined requests and progressively take on campaign concepts, web design, and brand extensions as judgment develops.
  • Collaborate directly with marketing, product, design, and sales; share work in progress, ask questions early, and incorporate feedback.
  • Contribute hands-on to larger brand projects alongside lead designers, applying new skills to everyday work.

Required Capabilities

  • At least three years in brand, visual, or marketing design, or equivalent internship and freelance experience. The quality of completed work matters more than tenure.
  • A portfolio showing craft and range, with selected projects that can be discussed in depth.
  • Fluency and speed in Figma and a working command of Illustrator, After Effects, InDesign, and other design tools.
  • Persistence through revisions, reliable delivery against deadlines, and the ability to use challenging feedback to improve work.
  • A patient, collaborative approach, strong interpersonal judgment, and comfort working with others under pressure.
  • Comfort using AI tools in everyday work, the ability to learn new tools quickly, and sound judgment about whether their output is ready to use.
  • Ability to interpret high-level direction, identify unclear briefs, and apply strong design judgment to details such as ad typography and event branding.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and shifting priorities, with self-motivation and dependable follow-through.

Preferred Skills

  • Motion design or animation, including basic experience.
  • Experience with Webflow and Canva.
  • Ability to make complex information simple.
