The opportunity
Build and improve customer-facing interfaces for an AI-based messaging platform supporting SMS, MMS, RCS, live chat, and voice. This role combines hands-on React and TypeScript development with opportunities to guide frontend practices, contribute to code review standards, and mentor teammates.
What you will work on
- Design, build, and improve user interfaces across desktop and mobile experiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features and improve the customer experience.
- Maintain responsive layouts, troubleshoot issues, and optimize web application performance.
- Serve as a technical resource for frontend best practices and code reviews.
- Stay current with relevant frontend technologies and industry developments.
Required experience
- 4+ years of professional React experience, including production TypeScript usage.
- Strong experience with React state management using Redux, Zustand, or similar tools.
- Strong frontend testing experience with Jest, Vitest, Testing Library, or similar tools.
- Experience with WebSockets.
- Familiarity with build tools such as Webpack and Vite.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with asynchronous data patterns.
Additional strengths
- Experience working in a Rails-backed environment.
- Experience with AWS services, including S3 and CloudFront.
- Familiarity with WCAG web accessibility standards.
