About the position
Support member enrollment and ongoing participation in a copay assistance program. Work with the Care Team Lead and Care Team Member Services Manager to coordinate resources, handle incoming and outgoing member calls, and help ensure copay assistance is processed appropriately.
Daily responsibilities
- Provide client support and coordinate member implementation calls with the Care Team Lead.
- Review claims as needed, identify patients using the program, review their history, and determine their next coverage date.
- Help patients enroll in manufacturer assistance programs.
- Maintain the patient database for follow-up, tracking, and reporting.
- Receive notifications of new patients' prior authorizations and review daily rejected and paid claims.
- Handle electronic protected health information (PHI) according to the access requirements assigned to the role.
- Complete other assigned duties.
Required qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) license or 2-5 years of experience in a retail pharmacy or pharmacy benefit management environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including group presentation skills.
- Proficiency with office productivity software.
- Professional telephone demeanor and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Strong planning, organization, time management, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to gather and analyze information, resolve problems promptly, and check work for accuracy and completeness.
- Ability to collaborate, remain open to others' ideas, and adapt to changing priorities, competing demands, delays, and unexpected events.
